ABOUT US

We are happy that you have found us! We invite you to join us for worship. Our congregation is a mission congregation from the original Augustana Synod, which was an immigrant church of hard-working, humble people.

OUR MISSION

Jesus the Christ gave us our mission

in Matthew 28:18-20:  Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this:  I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

WHAT WE DO

We believe that all we have comes from God, therefore all of our giving comes from His hand.  We give so that others may see the evidence of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Our ministry here at Advent centers on preaching, teaching, counseling, visitation, Christian education, and youth ministry.  We give to maintain our beautiful church home, where we come to worship, learn, and pray together.

WHY WE ARE HERE

“The Holy Spirit calls, gathers, enlightens, and sanctifies the whole Christian church on earth, and keeps it united with Jesus Christ in the one truth faith.”
